2017 Mornington Syrah

2017 Mornington Peninsula Shiraz

Fearing that we may only be able to release 28 dozen of an actual red wine led us to seek out another parcel of red fruit for 2017.  Luckily for us Jordy Kay was able to help us find some Syrah from Bluestone Lane in Balnarring. 

*Fun fact about this wine, when we picked it, the tractor wouldn't work, so we had to drive the forklift as close as we could to the vineyard to get the bins back to the winery. Dad and I bogged it 3 times that day. Awful, awful day of picking.*

50% whole bunch, gentle hand maceration for 3 weeks. Pressed into old wood. Nothing added
